Fixing the Menstrual Hygiene Issue

Forget pads and tampons, many menstruating people lack access to the most basic of hygiene. This isn't just an issue outside of the United States, however.

Highlighting Black Women in Anthropology – Part 1

Clearly much needs to be done to lessen the racial gap in anthropology, and one thing that we can do is bring to light the work of black anthropologists in the field. Throughout this series, I also want to highlight one woman who is not within the field of anthropology at the end of every post. Black women have contributed to so many other fields in addition to anthropology that it would be a shame to not acknowledge their work throughout the world.

Struggling With Comparison

The irony is comparison keeps me from being productive. Instead of inspiring me, it makes me feel like nothing is worth it, because there's someone out there who's better than me. Well, brain, I hate to tell you this, but there's always going to be someone out there who is "better" than me. That doesn't make my talents, my accomplishments, and my skills any less important. I'm trying to be strong, to remind myself that I'm a beautiful person inside and out. I want to stay motivated and work on solving this issue, and for me, the first step is admitting that this has been a problem.

My Current Favorite Skincare Products

One of the best ways to pamper yourself and show yourself some self-love is, without a doubt, taking care of your skin. Not only is skincare a relaxing and enjoyable process for many, but the skin is the body's largest organ and it is very important that we take proper care of it. Especially with Valentine's Day coming up, we all deserve to take some time to show ourselves and our skin some love. In this post, I'll be sharing some of my recent favorite skincare products with you, in the hope that you find something that you can try out or simply that this post inspires you to take care of yourself and show yourself the attention you deserve.
